i think ive ERDEM before

So, if you didn't get the title, this is dedicated to Mr Erdem Moralioglu. Mr E is famous for making gorgeous red carpet dresses that equally gorgeous people have worn. (And, may I add, that I read about someone in Vogue a few months ago, that got married in an Erdem dress and actually met up with him himself to talk specifics).

His resort 2011 collection was him rolled up in one; colourful with a hint of optimism. The materials were very patterned but seemed very simple in design, from collared dresses to tulip-bottom dresses and floral shorts to floaty shirts. NOMNOMNOM. pictures.

INTERRUPTION: Although the whole collection was stunning, I couldn't see myself wearing any of the pieces except this one, which is soooo amazing, the floral shorts and the electric galactic trousers.

So his collection ends with this layered floorsweeping dress, which is totally amazing because its like a waterfall and he lived next to a lake whilst growing up. So you know, you read my blog and you become some nifty little fact-geek. So, Mr Moralioglu, a round of applause and an A+ for you for doing another spot on collection!

pheobe philo & alexa chung

So, I decare this the second post on my blog so I'm going to tell you about my role models. I think you can have lots of insperationists (take that, dictionary) but yet, most girls seem to go for the same one- Coco Chanel. And no, I'm not denying that she wasn't a fashion ledgend nor was she not incredibly succsessful, but SO many people write about how amazing she was, how much they adore her. Please DON'T get the wrong end of the stick and go all Coco war against me but I wanted to be a bit different. (I love you Coco).

PHEOBE PHILO

Pheobe Philo was the brain child behind the s/s '10 Celine (gah) collection (biker leather, baby). She is 37 years of age, yet she has so much to show for those years- working for Stella McCartney as her design assistant at chloé, at which she later went to become the creative director at in 2001, which she later left due to wanting to spend more time with her family. In 2008 it was released that Pheobe had become the new creative director of Celine (gah). To finish this paragraph, I am sure you will agree with me that as I said before, at the age of 37, she has achieved so much and I am sure she will achieve so much more in the coming years:).

ALEXA CHUNG

Alexa Chung is well known for presenting the English programme T4, a programme on Channel 4 and MTV'S it's on with Alexa Chung. She has had a career as a model, featuring in Elle girl and other teen magazines. She has the most amazing closet, from frilly tea dresses to converse and skinny jeans, she always looks perfectly vintage. She has even launched her own bag for Mulberry called 'The Alexa' which I really wantHI MUM.

To conclude this post, I'll just say I feel an outfit post coming soon. And I'm going to go eat my pizza now. :)

the akward introductions

Helloo, I'm Sophie! I have really been interested in fashion at the moment, and making mood boards of clippings from Vogue, Elle and other various other magazines. I live in England and I love Parisian style, which is sort of like my inspiration. This is my second blog, the first one i had was The Clothes Puppet, but I negelected it, so I wanted to start afresh. I love unique and pretty clothes, so if you have any good websites or help for me please could you leave it as a comment below. I hope to add pictures soon but first I really want to learn somemore about fashion first.
